How You can Help

There are simple steps we can take as homeowners to keep Halfmoon Lake healthy. Cyanobacteria blooms and variable milfoil are increasingly impacting the environment and economy of the lakes region.  Read below to find out what actions you may take to reduce runoff, particularly phosphates,  and other common contaminants from entering our lake.  Also become acquainted with our newest discovery in Halfmoon Lake, a native aquatic invertebrate called a Bryozoa or "moss animal" that is a filter feeder and helps to keep our lake clean.
